For magnetizing and demagnetizing of magnets but also useful for magnetizing old magnets, compass needles and for general use as a powerful electromagnet. It comprises a solenoid wound with insulated copper wire and mounted on a base  with switch and 4 mm terminals. Solenoid 250 x 35 mm length x diameter. Workable on  12 V a.c. or d.c. at 6 A. Magnetizing possible by A.C. or D.C.  butDe-magnetizing can be done by A.C. only.
